Amanda, Fusion’s site engineer is climbing Ben Nevis this month raising money for The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.
Amanda commented: “This is the third of the three peaks that I am doing, I did the other 2 late last summer and didn’t have time to get Ben Nevis in before the weather turned.
This was initially a bit of a personal challenge with a friend. I did consider doing the other 2 for charity but left it a little too late to arrange.
My father was hospitalised for just over a year with acute myeloid leukaemia and I lost my first child to cot death. I know the trauma and devastation of how cancer affects lives and the loss of a child; I wouldn’t wish the combination of both on anyone.
Hopefully raising funds for LCYCT might help the fight – even if it’s just a little.”
