Solve ‘IT Confusion’ with Fusion IT.
Since I started my new job at Fusion IT my family and friends have asked me exactly what I do as the Support Business Development Manager.
Now, I could tell them it is all to do with Business Development and Sales of our Support Services and associated IT Solutions to our existing clients and prospective customers. But essentially what I do is SOLVE ‘IT’ problems for various customer groups.
So, what do I mean by SOLVE?
Well, an effective way to describe what I do is by presenting the following customer scenarios to which Fusion IT and myself can provide the answers.
Customer Scenarios
💬 Owner / MD
“My business needs so much more tech than it ever did, but I’ve no idea what to do next. Should I be in the cloud?”
“I can’t afford an in-house IT team, but everything relies on technology these days.”
“I keep hearing all these nightmare stories about IT security, but don’t know if I’m doing the right thing for the business. Am I compliant?”
“My people keep moaning at me that things don’t work, my tech support supplier is useless but it’s an absolute pain to change companies right now as we are so busy.”
“My business relies on technology, it’s a frightening thought if it all went down.”
💬 Operations Director
“I’m sure we could be doing things better and more efficiently with the right technology, but who can I ask?”
“The current system is so manual and open to human error it’s slowing everything down.”
💬 Finance Director
“There’s got to be a better, more efficient way of running this business with all the technology available.”
💬 IT Manager (Junior)
“The business has outgrown my expertise, but I don’t want to get found out.”
💬 Office Manager
“The boss has told me to sort out the IT problems.”
IT Trends
From these responses you will have noticed a number of key themes or IT Trends that are apparent:
- Migration to the Cloud and whether it is right for you? – we can advise on the options open to your business and whether a pure cloud or hybrid cloud solution is best for you
- The need for a ‘bolt-on’ IT Support Department – to keep your business up and running, so that you can focus on valuable commercial related activities
- Cyber Security – the need to protect your business systems from virus attacks, malware, and intrusion, in the light of the exponential growth in the volume and sophistication of cyber threats
- Business Continuity – the demand for maximum uptime from your system and short recovery times in the event of an outage, because “time is money”[sic] for your business
- Digital Transformation – the will to digitise previously laborious and manual processes, for example, facilitating automatic invoicing processes and digitising the sign-off of contracts to make yourselves a more efficient organisation. Plus, the need to communicate with customers using different channels like video conferencing
- Helpdesk – the requirement for friendly, knowledgeable and professional advice at the end of the phone to sort out IT glitches which will happen ”because it’s IT”[sic]
The Solution
Fortunately, at Fusion IT we have all the skills in-house to address these needs. Myself, in-conjunction with my team, would be delighted to take the confusion out of IT and consult, advise and recommend the best solutions for you either immediately or over a 5 Year Plan or IT Roadmap.
In particular, we specialise in looking after organisations in the Legal, Professional Services, Distribution, Manufacturing, Food and Packaging sectors. The Legal Sector is a key area in which we have considerable strength through our dedicated brand Expedite Law, who offer legal case management, legal process management and online portals to law firms looking to embrace change.
