There are lots of occasions with MatterSphere we get asked:
Can I do……….
How do I ………..
Is there a quick way to …………
In a lot of these instances we can answer these questions easily and sometimes the answers are not obvious and are a case of “if you know you know!!!”
Below are just a small selection of those items that are not obvious but can either resolve issues or enhance efficiency etc.
Using F9
1 – Stop Codes
F9 on your keyboard is a multi use key if you click it in any Word precedent document it will take you to any stop codes within the document. Stop codes will allow you to either enter data in a specific position or will give you the option to keep or delete words or paragraphs of text in order to work through a precedent document.
2 – Check Precedent Field Codes
Alt + F9 in Word will allow you to view any MatterSphere field codes that may be being used. Pressing again will switch back to the main text.
3 – Unlink Fields
If you make changes within an existing field without unlinking the field your changes will not be saved. When you save the document the fields will refresh with the initial information on saving removing your changes.
Ctrl + Shift + F9 will unlink the selected field from the data it is connected to and allow you to make changes to that text which will then be saved.
These are just a few examples of shortcuts within MatterSphere. If you wish to receive more information a bespoke training session can be provided to assist in providing useful tips for your organisation to help improve MatterSphere use. Please contact our Training Department. [email protected]
