In MatterSphere we tend to focus on the Matter information and the Matter Associates whose information can be found on the Contact Record. Most people don’t ever view or access the Client record as specific personal information is not stored there, however there are a couple of areas that can be a useful source of information.
Matters:
The matters tab on the Client Record shows all matters relating to the specific Client. So as long as you know the Client name or number you will be able to view all live and closed matters ever opened for them.
Notepad:
Each Client Record has a Notepad area so specific notes relating to the Client can be added there and be available for any other member of the firm to view should they be instructed by the Client for any new matters.
This can help provide unique and important information about the Client to others.
Documents:
Whilst most documents are accessed via the matter they are saved against, the Client associated ones are also visible against the Client Record.
This provides a unique history of documentation for each Client in one place. All letters, emails or other document that the selected Client has ever been associated to and will display the document details along with the Client and Matter number it relates to.
Please note this is not a storage area, documents cannot be saved against a client record they must be stored against the relevant matter they are just displayed here as a collective Client record of documentation.
Bespoke Add ins:
Any relevant Tabs for bespoke add-ins can be included at Client Record level if appropriate. The examples below could be specific Healthcheck related information, Client Complaints etc.
