Staff at Fusion IT Management are allowing their employees to take time off work if they want to go and give blood.
Jamie Watson, Managing Director at Fusion commented: “Blood donations are vital to the NHS and saves lives every day. We feel it is so important to allow staff time off to donate blood.”
Daniel Hawes, IT Consultant at Fusion recently gave blood and they found he was a good match for a bone marrow transplant and is now undergoing further tests. Dan said: “You can save the lives of three people in the time it takes you to watch a single episode of Game of Thrones….knowing that you can really make a difference means a lot and with the support from Fusion its been great.”
The NHS needs over 6,000 blood donations every day to treat patients in need across England, and with three lives saved for every pint of blood it is critical that donors keep on giving.
